About Bill
I
was born in New Jersey and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, where I developed an early
passion for drawing and painting, which led to my first summer vacation job
as an apprentice at a small graphic arts studio. Over the next 6 years of
high school (Mount Pleasant HS) and college (University of Delaware), I was taught, guided,
trained and encouraged by pros in a multitude of art disciplines. After graduating from college and serving 2 years in the military service, I went to New York City to find a job as an artist. I was hired by a large studio and quickly promoted to Art Director. I left that position to freelance as an illustrator and package designer for Avon and eventually 10 other cosmetic companies. During this time I branched out into other types of illustration: technical art for Popular Mechanics and Reader's Digest Books, portraits, and product art for numerous sales brochures, annual reports, quarterly magazines, etc. for other companies. I am now enjoying illustrating and painting for companies, organizations and individuals here in the North Georgia area. |
